Get ready to treat your senses at our first ever boutique food and beverage festival!  This event will bring together a curated selection of artisan dishes and a variety of beverages from top vendors.

With upbeat live music and a vibrant atmosphere, Sip & Savour promises an unforgettable afternoon of flavor and fun.

The festival will be held at the stunning, sheltered rural setting at Hiwinui Country Estate (click here for map).

Only 10 minutes from both Palmerston north and Feilding, the site is easily accessible to locals and visitors to the district. A shuttle service will run to and from the event to ensure you arrive on time and get home safely. Shuttle reservations are essential, you can add this to your ticket when you purchase. 

This festival will be capped in numbers so don’t miss out on the opportunity to be part of this incredible event and get ready to Sip & Savour every moment!

Please note: 

  • Due to alcohol being sold on site, this is an R18 event.
  • No animals will be permitted at the event
  • No outside food or beverages to be brought on to the site
  • Free carparking available in the paddock in front of Hiwinui Country Estate

FAQ's

Sip and Savour Manawatu is held on the rear grounds at Hiwinui Country Estate

We are located at 465 Ashhurst Road - just 10 minutes from Palmerston North.  If coming from Palmerston North, come down Kelvin Grove Road and then left at the main T intersection of Ashhurst Road.  We are approx 50 meters down the road on the right hand side.  You will see the Hiwinui Country Estate sign on the main fence.

If you are coming from Bunnythorpe, come along Ashhurst road and we are just before the main intersection heading into Palmerston North. 

If coming from Ashhurst, come down Ashhurst Road as if you are heading to Feilding and we are just after the main intersection into Palmerston North.

Traffic Management will be in place for the event and parking wardens will be directing people where to park

When purchasing your ticket you will have the option to purchase a bus ticket to ensure that you arrive to the festival on time and return home safely.

Buses will depart at 11:45am from the Palmerston North I-site and Feilding railway station and depart the festival at 6:15pm

You must have pre-purchased a bus ticket to use this service

Gates open at 12 noon and 6pm event closes
Beverage vendors will close sales at 5:30pm

No food or drink is to be bought in with you as there will be plenty to purchase at the festival. Please support our amazing food and beverage suppliers!

We encourage you to use your phone to present the QR code from your ticket. However, if your screen is cracked it may prevent your QR code from being scanned correctly, in which case you’ll need a printed copy.

Sorry, no pets are allowed on-site during the festival except for service dogs

Sip & Savour Manawatu will go ahead in all weather provided it is safe to do so.
If the site becomes unsafe the event will be postponed. All ticketholders will be notified by email and our website and social media channels will also be updated with relevant information.

All ticket holders will be asked to prove their age, failure to show identification may result in refusal of access. Accepted forms of identification are current passport, current driver’s license or a valid 18+ card.

There will be free car parking in the paddock in front of Hiwinui Country Estate
On arrival there will be clear signs and wardens guiding you where to park in the front paddock of Hiwinui Country Estate

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

- Entry will be by ticket only.
- This event is strictly an R18 event. We are sorry, but no children including babies are allowed on site.
- Sip & Savour runs a no pass out policy. Once you have entered the festival you cannot leave and re-enter.
- Right of Admission Reserved – In order to facilitate the security, safety and comfort of all guests, the organiser reserves the right to refuse admission and refund the ticket value.
- Admission is at Ticket Holders own risk. The organiser will not be held liable for any loss, injuries or damages sustained at this event including damage, theft or losses to property and motor vehicles, if the cause is due to the negligence of the ticket holder or the unforeseeable actions of other patrons.
- All motor vehicles must be removed by 7pm from the parking area.
- Ticket holders consent to being filmed and/or photographed for possible use in promotional material.
- No glass bottles, cans, alcohol or food of any kind may be brought into this event. Empty water bottles may be brought in to fill with the free water available.
- Picnic blankets and deck chairs are allowed to be bought in.
- Security screening of everyone entering the venue and their bags to ensure no prohibited items are brought into the festival including alcohol, bottled liquids or weapons.
- Anyone who looks under 25 years of age will be required to provide proof of age when entering the site to receive a glass and be allowed to purchase alcohol. This must take the form of one of the following types of identification:
- HANZ 18+Card
- New Zealand Driver’s License,
- New Zealand or Foreign Passports
- In addition, each vendor will recheck the purchaser’s age if they feel unsure.
- Intoxicated persons will not be served alcohol and will be required to leave the event.
- The Ticket Holder will be required to leave the venue if he or she:
- Engages in conduct, which unreasonably interferes with the enjoyment of the event by the patrons
- Hampers or impedes the conduct of the event
- Breaches any by-laws or orders applicable to the venue
- Drinks can only be served in the festival reusable cup which will be given to you on entry. There is a $10 replacement fee
- There will be a maximum alcoholic beverage purchase per service.
- Non alcoholic beverages will be available.
- Food will be available from the various food trucks on site.
- Alcohol sales are closed 30 minutes before the end of the event. All attendees must finish their drink by 6pm and vacate the venue no later than 6:30pm
- Alcohol cannot be taken out of the festival
- No pets, except for service dogs
- Dedicated sites will be available for smoking/vaping
- Sip & Savour uses a third party ticketing platform "The Ticket Fairy" to sell festival tickets. No other ticketing company is authorised to sell tickets. You are responsible for paying all ticket, booking fees and charges including transaction and processing fees
- Valid tickets must be presented in order to enter the event. Tickets that are presented via a phone please ensure that your screen is not cracked. Otherwise a printed physical copy can be used
- One ticket is valid for each person and we will refuse tickets that have already been redeemed.
- Tickets prices are in NZD and include GST. Ticket price excludes third party ticketing booking fees and surcharges
- Tickets cannot be refunded or cancelled once issued
- In the case of an adverse weather event then the festival has the right to postpone the event within 12 months of the date
